Product Engineer

Werkzaamheden

Develop and design of centrifugal pumps as well on mechanical as well on hydraulic aspects in order to meet market requirements and to provide basic pump designs to the Project Engineering Group in line with customer specifications and requirements.
Assist in providing solutions on customer claims in close co-operation with de assigned Project manager and the representative of the Service Group.

The incumbent in this position is responsible for:
Upon request of the members of the Order Acquisition Group review and evaluate customer specifications related to technical acceptability;
Advise the estimating engineer of the technical requirements and changes in design in order to provide accurate pump costing;
The review and evaluation of customer specifications related to the mechanical and hydraulic design of centrifugal pumps for customer contract;
The on-time issue of specifications, drawings, bill of materials, documentation to Project Engineering;
Implement contract variations after review and acceptance;
Analyze customer complaints and provide solutions in co-operation with project management and representatives of the Service Group;
Plans, directs and co-ordinates the product engineering activities satisfying all customer requirements.

Functie-eisen

Technical education at a level of bachelor in mechanical engineering. Knowledge of quality systems, like ISO 9000;
Knowledge of the petrochemical industry in general and an extended knowledge of the specifications/requirements applicable in this industry;
The function requires a 3-5 years working experience in engineering of rotating equipment and within a customer oriented working environment;
To be able to communicate at all levels in the organization up to the operations management level;
Fluently in foreign languages Dutch, English an preferably German;
Working knowledge of computer programs like Windows, Excel, ans Word Self motivation and drive to meet schedules.
