Werkzaamheden

The FLU Buyer serves the shipment of pump units to meet the financial budget of the facility. The function includes the purchasing of castings/ forgings and fabrications, semi-finished products and products in the specified quantties with the required quality levels, on time and at market level pricing. The delivery of the materials is of essence to support the short term plan of pump unit shipments.

The Buyer reports to the Purchasing Manager and is leading a team who is responsible for the purchase of the products as mentioned under responsibilities.

- Purchase of materials and components meeting the requirements related to quantity, quality, price and delivery time;
- Periodically evaluate suppliers on their ability to meet the requirements such as quality, on time and complete delivery;
- Develop a base of reliable suppliers;
- Arrange for long - term supplier's agreement for strategic components;
- Assure adequate delivery of materials and components to meet the company goals for on-time delivery;
- Within his authority assist in meeting the short-term financial shipment goals;
- Continuously improve the efficiency of the procurement process within the facility;
- Establish communication lines between suppliers functions and functions within the company.

Functie-eisen

Technical education at a level of bachelor in mechanical engineering. Additional courses specialized in procurement, such as NEVI I + II. Knowledge of quality system requirements, such as ISO 9000 or equal.
Thorough knowledge of the industry requirements related to applicable specifications and the interpretation there of.
The position requires at least 5 years industry related experience.
Abilty to effectively communicate at all levels in the company organization as well as suppliers organization.
negotiating and evalution skills.
Abiity to speak and write in Dutch and English.
Working knowledge of computer programs like windows, Word, Excel.
