Piping Engineer

Werkzaamheden

Pipestress calculation and piperouting in the HRSG with a coaching/advising role (both internal and external) throughout all the projects. You will give advise and lead the improvement process of the used (drawing- and calculating-) programmes and workmethods to reduce the run time of the piping engineering.
The Piping Engineer has the capacity and ambition to broaden his skills, and in time, to fill the position Mechanical Engineer, (and therefore become responsible for setting up the description of the “pressureparts”, the G.A.’s (General Arrangements) in Microstation (3D), coordinating the engineering done by third parties, defining the technical specifications for the subcontracted parts and evaluating the technical quotations).

Documentation that has to be written:

Concept routing piping
Code calculations (e.g. ASME 1) pressure parts
Isometrics
Pipestress calculations
3D model

Functie-eisen

HTS-degree in Mechanical Engineering (possibly MTS++ level)
A minimum of 10 years work experience in constructing piping systems
Knowledge of materials, calculation methods, isometrics, design codes and constructions with high temperatures
Obvious affinity with technology
Excellent team player (a real communicator)
Knows how to work with PC and -programs
Excellent knowledge of the English language (both written en spoken)
Affinity with the international aspect of the projects and the contact with customers.
